So for all future Lville students and parents here are some tips I received on revisit day:
1. Follow all of the rules to the word for the first couple of weeks, until you figure out which teachers and housemasters are lenient towards them, i.e. Dress code.
2. Bring a soft, comfy chair. The one that the school gives you for your dorm is wooden, hard, and uncomfortable.
3. Bring lots of food. It'll get you lots of friends, and fast.
4. Make good impressions on your teachers from day 1. They'll help you and you'll get to know them really well.
5. Find a place where you can have that peace. For my revisit guide, it was in a little nook in the music building, yours might be in the library, house, etc.
6. You're not allowed to have a TV, but you can bring a 32 inch computer monitor to serve as one.
7. If you really, really need a fridge, get some acne medication or other pharmaceutical item that needs to be refrigerated, the school will accommodate as long as your parents say so.
8. Get to know your housemaster really well. It'll go a long way in sleepovers, inviting others into your dorm, etc.
9. Have an open mind. This is probably the most important thing on this list, and stressed by everyone I met. Don't be afraid to join the Korean club, even if you're not Korean, and get a taste of that sweet BBQ. Join the inter house sports for all it's worth, and get as much out of the Lawrenceville experience as you possibly can. It'll be your home for the next few years, might as well take advantage of it.
Feel free to add anything under here pertaining to Lawrenceville.
