Feedback on the Eugene Lang Liberal Arts College and Other Urban Schools for Liberal Arts

I am looking for a school to apply to this coming fall, and I am really considering the Eugene Lang college. It seems great on paper. My only concern is that I hear the kids are pretentious, though very knowledgeable. A few things about myself: I am a musician, and music is my passion. I play jazz guitar a few hours a day and constantly listen to music. I wish to be in a community that has similar interests. I play guitar, read NPR, and roast my own coffee. Clearly, I am pretty liberal all around . So I felt like UVM and Ithaca would be good choices for me as well. I am looking for a school between 5 and 15 thousand (undergrad) and wish to be in an Urban setting (why I preferred UVM over Ithaca). Having facilities or a city in which I can flourish without being required to major in music is something I need from school. I am considering minoring in music, but I am not even sure I want to make that commitment yet. I am really stuck on getting a Liberal Arts degree, and it seems like the New School produces some smart, well-rounded students. So what are your opinions, and are there other schools I should look at? PS: I have a 30 on the ACT and a 3.3 Unweighted GPA with 2 honors/AP classes each year and my senior year will be 4 APs, 1 Honors, and 1 College Prep Enriched course
