Anyone like me in this situation?

Hello, I just got an account here and this forum site seems great! I am currently a sophomore at a public school in Pennsylvania, and I was just wondering if there was someone who had a similar situation. The story: So in 9th grade (still middle school for my district), I had a 3.34 GPA. Our school doesn't have any honors classes, those are called "advanced" classes, and there are no AP classes available, for the exception of the occasional kid who does a bunch of stuff over the summer, and has to take a bus to the high school for that class. We are in a very powerful and well-known school district in the Philadelphia suburbs. Our district doesn't even give us class rank anymore due to the high amount of kids that got too high of GPA's, they can't all be ranked number one of course. They are not even seen by us and are strictly sent to colleges only. Anyway, I took Geometry, Advanced social studies, acad. English, and acad. science, and Spanish 2. The academic classes are where about 70% of the kids are in, and the others are in advanced classes rather than academic. So I entered the 9th grade with my expectations too high, my original goal being a 3.7, then dropping to 3.5...then... yeah downhill from there. I had a lot of personal problems with suicidal thoughts and i was diagnosed with GAD and I missed 2 weeks of school in a row. Overall, it was a pretty tough school year outside of school. My point in this: Is there anyone who can share their experiences who had a GPA like mine in the 3.3-3.4's who brought it up dramatically to, almost a 4.0? What should I do different? Is this goal too high for right now? I am currently at the high school, taking: (Block scheduling, which I heard is MUCH easier) 1st semester -Algebra 2 -Digital Imaging (Photoshop, easy A) -Honors English 10 -Honors Modern World History 2nd semester -Personal Finance (easy special also an easy A) -Architectual Design (another elective, easy A) -Honors Spanish 3 -Academic Biology (only academic class, not very good at science) Any thoughts? I only have 4 classes per semester, so that will be much easier since I only have 2 or 3 academic, or real classes at once. (like math, science, etc.) Thanks!
