Long story short, the guy that sat next to me this morning was cheating....he deliberately made sure the proctor wasn't looking and then filled in unanswered sections from another test. What is infuriating is that ANOTHER STUDENT sitting next to Mr. Cheater saw this same guy cheating, gave him a thumbs up and laughed about how "smart" he was, and then declined to report it. Not only did this student cheat once, but TWICE during the test. I am quite sure half of the students saw him cheating (he made it VERY obvious and snickered to the other test takers who looked up and saw him), but nobody did anything about it. I heard him bragging before the test about how he "didn't study" and "failed the last SAT." It is NOT fair to other students like me who have studied their butts off for the test for him to cheat like that. Anyways, I reported him to the proctor. I'm glad I did, but now I'm worried....will my scores be delayed if CollegeBoard does an investigation? I heard that they may cancel everybody's scores if they suspect more were cheating. I have early decision applications that are due soon and I can't afford to have my scores come in late.
