I'm currently a 1L in my seccond semester. I want something that can do all of the tasks that a law student needs to do (legal research, drafting documents, etc.). I am currently considering purchasing an Alienware laptop because they are reliable. Their warranty is the beat out there. You can get any problem fixed in 24 hours. The devices also have a feature that allows you to quickly refresh in the event that your computer is attacked by a virus during an exam. Alienwares have been known for being heavy, but they now have some models that are more portable.
