Does fall gpa count towards admission?

Hi, I'm hoping to apply this fall and i was wondering if this fall's grades count towards my uc gpa. For example, if I'm at a 3.6gpa currently, and if i end up with a 3.7 at the end of fall, will the uc's look at the 3.6 gpa or the 3.7gpa? Thanks for your responses! Also, does anyone know if a 3.7 gpa is competitive for UCI's business administration program? I know it's highly impacted, but i'm just wondering if i have a chance, or if i'm just wasting my time.
